Where do sessions take place?
Where do sessions take place?
Most sessions start from our base in Taffs Well, just outside Cardiff.
We make use of local trails, hills, woodlands and open spaces to create varied, challenging and enjoyable outdoor training experiences.
Some sessions and events may take place at alternative locations across South Wales, but full details and meeting points are always provided in advance.
What do I need to bring?
Bring:
• Comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the weather (you might get muddy!)
• Trail shoes or trainers with good grip
• A water bottle
• Any medication you may need during the session
• A positive attitude and a sense of adventure 💪
We'll provide the coaching, equipment and support — you just need to turn up ready to train.
What if the weather is bad?
We train in most weather conditions — it's all part of the outdoor experience.
Rain, wind and colder temperatures won't usually stop us, so we encourage members to come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for the conditions.
In the event of extreme weather, such as lightning, severe storms or conditions that could compromise safety, sessions may be adapted, postponed or rescheduled.
At Wild Rise, we believe resilience is built by stepping outside our comfort zones and embracing the outdoors in all seasons.
How do I book a place?
Booking is simple — head to our booking page and choose the option that's right for you.
Whether you're joining an Into the Wild experience, an 8-week programme, a trail running block or a PAYG session, you can secure your place in just a few clicks.
Spaces are limited to ensure every session remains personal, supportive and coach-led.
What ages do you accept?
Our main sessions are designed for adults (18+), but we’re planning family and youth sessions in the future. If you’re under 18 and interested, get in touch and we’ll discuss options.
Who are the coaches?
Wild Rise is led by:
- Andy Hardy — Fitness instructor, Level 3 PT, and strength & conditioning specialist.
- Carl Osborne — qualified run leader (LiRF) and endurance coach in training (CiRF), passionate about trail running and community fitness.
Together, they blend physical challenge with mental wellbeing in the great outdoors.
Is Wild Rise just fitness, or is there a wellbeing element too?
Both.
At Wild Rise, we believe physical and mental wellbeing go hand in hand. Time spent moving outdoors, challenging yourself and connecting with others can have a powerful impact on both body and mind.
While our sessions focus on building strength, fitness and resilience, they're also about creating space to clear your head, reduce stress and reconnect with nature.
That's why community, adventure and wellbeing are just as important to us as the workouts themselves.
What does the 8-week block cost?
Pricing details are listed on the booking page.
We have two pricing options depending on the block you choose:
Strength + Trail Block
• £50 introductory offer for the first 3 blocks until September 2026
Trail Running Only Block
• £20 introductory offer for the first 3 blocks until September 2026
We believe in being transparent and fair — these intro prices are designed to help build the community as we launch.
All blocks include weekly sessions, coaching guidance, and access to our supportive Wild Rise community.
Can I pause or refund my booking?
We get that life happens. If you’re injured or need to pause due to genuine circumstances, contact us directly — we’ll do our best to accommodate or transfer your place to the next block.
“Do you offer private coaching or team sessions?”
Yes! Alongside our 8-week group blocks, we also offer private 1-to-1 or small-group coaching sessions.
These are ideal if you’d like more personal guidance, specific goal-based training, or want to build confidence before joining the full programme.
We also run bespoke team and corporate sessions — perfect for building resilience, teamwork, and wellbeing in the outdoors.
