Wild Rise: Our Journey So Far

Wild Rise: Our Journey So Far

When Wild Rise began, we had a simple vision: create a supportive outdoor community where people could build fitness, confidence and resilience through adventure, trail running and outdoor training.

What started as a small group of like-minded people training outdoors has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

In just a few months, Wild Rise has grown to 18 members, completed multiple training blocks and built a community of people who show up week after week to support one another, embrace new challenges and discover what they're capable of.

Building the Community

Perhaps the achievement we're most proud of isn't a race result or a medal, but the community that has formed around Wild Rise.

Members who once doubted themselves are now confidently running trails, climbing hills, lifting weights and embracing challenges they never thought possible.

From complete beginners to experienced runners, every member contributes to the supportive environment that makes Wild Rise what it is today.

Race Day Success at Margam Park

The Wild Deer Trail Race at Margam Park proved to be a fantastic day for the Wild Rise community, with members achieving incredible results across multiple events.

Leading the way was Wild Rise coach Carl, who took the overall victory in the 10k race after a challenging and enjoyable route through the stunning trails of Margam Park.

The success didn't stop there.

Paul delivered an outstanding performance to win the 5k race, while Donna secured 1st place in her female age category, continuing her impressive progress since joining Wild Rise.

One of the standout performances of the day came from David, who finished an incredible 9th overall in his very first trail race.

Wild Rise Results

šŸ† Carl – 1st Overall – 10k

šŸ† Paul – 1st Overall – 5k

šŸ† Donna – 1st Female Age Category

šŸƒ David – 9th Overall (First Trail Race)

While podium finishes are always exciting, some of the most rewarding moments came from members simply taking on a new challenge, stepping onto a race start line and discovering what they are capable of outdoors.

Pushing the Limits

The achievements haven't stopped there.

Andy completed an incredible 50-mile ultra marathon, demonstrating the determination, resilience and adventurous spirit that sits at the heart of Wild Rise.

His achievement is a reminder that consistency, preparation and belief can take you far beyond what you once thought possible.

More recently, Paul conquered the demanding Cotswold 100km Ultra, an incredible accomplishment and further proof of what can be achieved through dedication and perseverance.

Exploring the Trails

Every week, members continue to explore new trails, tackle new challenges and build confidence outdoors.

For some, success means standing on a podium.

For others, it means completing a first 10k trail run, climbing a hill they once thought impossible or simply showing up and doing something that pushes them outside their comfort zone.

At Wild Rise, every achievement matters.

Into The Wild

One of the most exciting developments has been the launch of Into The Wild, our outdoor adventure event designed to bring people together through fitness, exploration and challenge.

The response has exceeded all expectations, with our very first event selling out its full capacity of 30 places ahead of launch.

It's another exciting step in the Wild Rise journey and a reflection of the incredible community that continues to grow around it.

This Is Just the Beginning

Wild Rise has come a long way in a short space of time, but we're only getting started.

Our mission remains the same:

To help people reconnect with nature, challenge themselves, build confidence and become part of a supportive community that makes fitness enjoyable, sustainable and rewarding.

Thank you to every member who has joined us on the journey so far.

We can't wait to see what the next chapter brings.

🌲 Train Wild. Rise Strong.
